Hi Manuel Any idea of when we can expect a new version? Is this project still alive? Do you have a Roadmap and Priority list for this project?
Hi Manuel I have been using Jabaco for two days trying to convert a number of commercial applications i have written over the years and still support. First let me say that this is a great product long may it live. From what i can tell with just a few more key components this can be a real alternative to vb6 and beyond. I for one would like to see the following components implemented in some way: 1/ DataList 2/ DataGrid both which allow data to be bound to them eg db recordset similar to vb6 I a...
When trying to set a custom icon for the form icon property it assigns it to the form picture property therefore falls to display a form icon. I must say this is a great application, with a few improvement and bug fixes this can go places. Development maybe spreeded up if it went open source
Quoted from "Faldegast" Quoted from "OlimilO" OK, em, the more i read about principles of JFrame and JDialog, the differencies maybe have nothing to do with platform independency. But another thought: there were some people asking for Jabaco on mobile devices. It would be nice to be able to "switch" Jabaco to a mobile-Framework. Jabaco on a mobile framework would be extra difficult. Those does not make any use of Swing but have their own GUI libraries. Android however may be different. I think ...
I would like to see Jabaco allow in-line java code so one can easily do such things as using thrid-party classes eg http://quicktable.org/#dbgrid I am new to Jacabo so if it can already please show a small example code Many thanks

Quoted from "nbarakat" First of all let me start by saying that I feel this project has a lot of potential within the VB6 community (and I believe it should be supported by companies like sun microsystems /Oracle). Thanks Manuel for your efforts and everyone that worked with you and given there time and resources to improve and test it. My suggestion is when Jabaco encounters for example an OCX control that it cannot map to it's own control, Jabaco can read the properties, methods, and events o...
Hi all I am new to Jacabo. As you may know MS will not be supporting vb6 on windows 8 therefore My vb6 apps is likely not to run on win8 I have a number of vb6 apps that use the vb6 DataGrid bound to a database recordset. JBGrid will not work. can anyone suggest an alternative. Also is the an alternative to the shell32 dll as this is used a lot also. I know that i will have to redo my ADODB calls but i can live with that. jacabo seems like a great alternative to vb.net which i did not make that ...
